So you want to volunteer?  There are plenty of places near our Estates at Heathbrook apartment community where you can donate your time!

Volunteering with the Salvation Army is a great way to donate your time.

Let your local schools to volunteer and you will find yourself doing anything from helping with administrative tasks to helping organize resources at the library or assisting a teacher with a special project.

If you enjoy being outside, you can organize a community effort to beautify the community.  This can mean picking up trash along the roads, or planting flowers in the public byways.  You can also contact the Marion County Parks & Recreation to volunteer in an annual community effort to clean up the Ocala National Forest.

Contact the Ocala Health & Rehabilitation Center  to volunteer in the elderly community to organize a social event or recreational activity there.  Your energy and enthusiasm will be much appreciated!

The Salvation Army in Ocala is another great place to volunteer!  Organize a clothing drive in your community for the local Salvation Army!  You can also help stock thrift items at the Salvation Army or help in the soup kitchen.

Regardless of what you choose to do, volunteering in Ocala, FL will extend your community network and transform you into a leader – so definitely do it!
